Tanner Agar is a Michelin-recognized chef, restaurateur, and host known for turning thoughtful food into engaging, accessible experiences. As CEO and Creative Director of Walkabout Hospitality Group, he is behind concepts like Rye, Apothecary, and Flamant —restaurants celebrated for their creativity, precision, and hospitality.
Tanner’s path into the industry didn’t start in fine dining, but delivering pizza on a Segway—an early introduction to both the chaos and charm of the restaurant world. He went on to study at TCU and build nearly 20 years of experience across six countries, developing a global perspective that informs both his cooking and storytelling.
In addition to running award-winning restaurants, Tanner hosts a weekly radio show, Flavorphiles, and is an on-camera personality, regularly appearing on television for cooking segments and food commentary. He brings a natural, confident presence to the screen, combining deep industry knowledge with an ability to connect with a broad audience.
Outside of the kitchen, Tanner is passionate about motorcycles, photography, books, and travel—interests that continue to shape his perspective on food, culture, and creativity.
